Keep
Haze Out

WWF

Haze was a constant problem for both Singapore and Malaysia dating back to as early as 1970s. Haze in Singapore were largely blown in from neighbouring countries. Especially so from Sumatra, farmers were driven by profit and demand for palm oil, many turn to growing oil palm trees for sale to merchants. And in order to clear plantation to make way for new palm trees, farmers resorted to burning crops for quicker turn around.

The result? Haze covered the skies, air condition got hazardous, company and schools had to shut, people to stay indoors and tourism suffered. Yet, it is not commonly known to many that alot of the products we use regularly contains palm oil.

A series of print ads were concepted to increase awareness to the public on how some commonly used products contributes to the demand for palm oil.
